OVERVIEW |
The HIDRAH®-V3 is the next generation handheld, tactical, cordless radio intercept and signal Line of Bearing (LOB) / homing system. HIDRAH®-V3 may be mounted and employed unobtrusively on an individual service rifle (M16A2 or M4 Carbine) or may be employed independently through the use of detachable “pistol-grip” type handles. When mounted on a rifle, the HIDRAH®-V3 does not interfere with the operation of the weapon and use of the weapon does not adversely affect the HIDRAH®-V3 system. The HIDRAH®-V3 also features a detachable antenna section and cable that may be used to effectively employ the system in vehicles, vessels, or aircraft. The detachable antenna cable has a switch that compensates for the inverted mounting of the antenna on the underside of an aircraft. HIDRAH®-V3 is ruggedized, lightweight, reliable, and easy to use. No other single system available provides both the homing, direction finding, multiple cuts and range to target features in such a compact, highly portable package. |

SignalTrap Lite Software |
SignalTrap Lite is a signal search, collection and receiver control software. The SignalTrap Lite software provides software the complete control of any combination of two AR8200s, AR8600s, or HIDRAH®-V3. The pictured configuration is that of an AR8200 with USB/serial adapter cable and the HIDRAH®-V3 with its DATA to USB cable connected to a user defined laptop. In this configuration, the AR8200 is acting as the master receiver, capturing, processing and accurately cataloging all incoming RF transmissions for operator review. The user can instantly analyze and determine which signals of interest are to be sent to the HIDRAH®-V3 for further analysis and DF evaluation. The AR8200 master receiver can be tuned to any frequency within its range by referencing frequency data collected and stored within the software scan banks, or by using user created search banks consisting of a frequency ranges or, frequency step search plans. The AR8200 master receiver can then be made to tip any user designated signal of interest to the HIDRAH®-V3 for further analysis. Used in conjunction with FalconView software and the HIDRAH®-V3, SignalTrap will overlay Line of Bearing (LOB) plots on the laptop’s mapping package display and also takes advantage of the HIDRAH®-V3 produced GPS data and places mission route and track history onto the mapping display. |
