OVERVIEW

RRT has once again improved on its tactical broadband receive antenna. The Mini-Flex antenna is a broadband, ruggedized, receive only field antenna. The Mini-Flex’s new design hits the field-users requirement of “smaller, lighter, faster” by reducing the length by an inch and the weight by more than 8 oz. The Mini-Flex utilizes the metal alloy NITINOL  giving the antenna a much “cleaner” electronic ground plane. NITINOL has exceptional “shape memory” which allows the user to easily fold the ground radials up for transport yet still maintain an even ground plane when in use. The Mini-Flex antenna provides the user an outstanding broadband receive capability for use with all tactical commercial and military collection equipment currently on the market.

It’s rugged design allows for operations in austere environments and adverse
weather conditions. This rugged antenna requires minimal erection time and can be set up by an unskilled operator in less than one minute.

The entire antenna is encapsulated in DELRIN polymer tubing providing water/weather resistance, additional strength and reduced noise. The vertical trap antenna element can be bent in half for ease of transport.  Velcro straps, which retain the radial and vertical elements, can be used to mount the antenna on tree limbs or other structures.
